Tolan is a mobile app that gives each user an embodied AI companion, an animated alien character called a Tolan. It acts as a friendly guide through everyday life that listens, responds and remembers context, designed to feel warm without pretending to be human.

**Key features:**

- Talk with a Tolan in voice-first conversations.
- Keep a companion that remembers context from past chats.
- Get support through stressful moments and relationship questions.
- Interact with a designed alien character and its world.
- Rely on systems built to know when to step back.

Tolan is built on leading language models with the company's own layers for listening, memory and context, and the team publishes writing on what a healthy AI companion looks like. It is available on the App Store, where it reports a 4.8-star rating from more than 180,000 reviews; pricing is not listed on the site.
